The stage is set for the much-publicised 12-day 'Godavari Pushkaralu',
amid unprecedented arrangements, beginning in Andhra Pradesh and
Telangana from tomorrow.Both the governments made elaborate
arrangements over the past few months, in view of lakhs of pilgrims
expected to attend the Pushkaralu, which occurs once in 12 years.The
ghats along the course of the Godavari have been spruced up, besides
providing necessary facilities, including medical-aid for the
pilgrims.Security has been tightened, in view of the mammoth crowd that
is likely to attend the coveted event. The Chief Ministers N.Chandrababu
Naidu (AP) and K.Chandrasekhar Rao (Telangana)will formally inaugurate
the event at Rajahmundry (East Godavari district) andDharmapuri
(Karimnagar) respectively
